Hamish Park Fence : Temporarily Fixed

Hamish Park Fence

In early October we were informed by a concerned resident that many fence slats at Hamish Park had been damaged and pulled off with the potential for harm for Children from nails. The fence has been neglected in past few years with some damage to the outer skin of fencing, some rotten posts making some parts unstable. After evaluating a team of Committee Members (Thanks Dave, Billy, Norman) managed to repair most of the fence which had been pulled apart, some loose slats were also re-nailed in place and the structure has been made safe again.

In the future some fence posts may need replaced, some more fence slats may need to be added and others re-nailed into place to ensure secure, overall the condition is not as bad as it looks. With some TLC it may last another 5 years. It certainly has to be a safe environment for Children to play without the risk of dogs entering from the main Park area. The fence has been added to our management plan as a going concern which may need further work next year.
