Huge thanks to all who turned up to help Friends of Forest Drive Park today, we managed to clear a lot of dog mess, some bagged, some loose, some dead grass and some dockens, litter and old tree protectors from around the planted areas.
A team of spade workers removed a lot of grass from around the bases of our new trees, allowing them to breathe again. Some strimming work was carried out to clear dead grass and weeds were removed from Hamish Park play area.
Overall, very productive morning thanks to the committee team for providing coffee and biscuits
The park is looking good, new planters flourishing and new fruit trees starting to flower.
Thanks also to Aberdeenshire Council Landscape Services team who we hope will help collect the bagged dock weeds an dead grasses.
