We are planning our next Maintenance Day in Forest Drive Park on 18th April, from 10am – hopefully the weather is fine. Please ensure you bring along a good pair of gloves, wear suitable footwear and take some refreshments in case warm. We will provide some tools on the day if needed. Risk assessment will be available to read and sign on the day for any new members or members of the public.
We plan to :-
1. Litter pick the whole Park, under the trees near Hamish Park and within Hamish Park itself.
2. Pick up dog mess from around Hamish Park, checking each wild grass area, Park edges near the Path and in amongst the Fruit Trees, Wetland area and the Mound.
3. Replace any missing tree protectors to any of the newly planted Hedgerow trees and any of the older trees planted last year.
4. Replace any missing canes to any of the newly planted Hedgerow trees.
5. Put up new anti dog fouling signs.
6. Add new sign onto the Herb Planter.
7. Tidy up the Wildflower beds, removing grass to prevent it from smothering any plants.
8. General tidy up of any trees / bushes etc – Tools will be provided.
