We were very kindly gifted two IBCs from Andrew Stewart at Wellvene Ltd who are based in Dyce, Aberdeen. These have been filled up with water and will make watering so much easier this year, rather than having to do multiple trips to and from Committee Members houses to refill watering cans and small containers. Each one holds 1000L so more than enough to keep the wildflowers, wetland, new trees and plants watered.
They will need to be covered in black plastic wrap to block sunlight to stop photosynthesis and keep the water fresh. One of our friends of the Park is going to manufacture two protective covers for the taps on each IBC to prevent them being opened and all of the water running out. This should make them more secure.
